Here’s a peek of one of my five projects (+an exam) I had due for finals. This project was for my fiction writing class and we had to write a story and turn it into the professor in an audio format (cd, mp3, etc.) T and I had a lot of fun (even though we didn’t finish until 3a this morning) playing around with the music and adding in sounds/noises. Then we ran with the idea of making them look like legit audio cds by making our own covers and putting them in real cd cases. Haha, my case was taken from an old Papa Roach album.
Luck to everyone going through finals!

Shot from my moleskine, snippets from my art final (the dreaded self portrait!) using 6B graphite, & my art pack
This week is finals week! Criiiinge. I really didn’t want to get back into the seriousness of studying after the amazing weekend I had. Today, I plan on finishing up my final art project, tomorrow hitting the books….can’t wait.
Awesome moment of the day: Sunday, while out in Bricktown celebrating my sister’s birthday, we saw Tony Allen! Tony Allen plays for the Memphis Grizzlies. He was out after just playing a game against the OKC Thunder. Still don’t know who he is? Well…us either. Until Chris reminded us he was this guy who was all over SportsCenter last week.
Get ready for some puppy spam coming up in my next post…

So I’ve been promising a DIY on how to make a flower crown since I posted these photos from my birthday. I really loved how it turned out so I made not only one for myself but one for my mom and sister to wear. And finally, here it is! It’s fairly simple to do and all the supplies can be found stores like Wal Mart. Let’s get started!

Take floral wire and unwrap a large amount and cut. Create a circle with the wire that can fit comfortably on your head. I wanted my frame to be a little more sturdy so I wrapped it around five or six times.

Time to add in the silk flowers! This is a bit of a trial and error. The first crown I made I used too many flowers in a bunch. But take one (or several) flowers and begin to wrap the wire around them tightly. You can use pliers but I found it quicker just to use my fingers.

Continue adding flowers to fill the crown until you have the desired amount. You can fill the entire circle with blooms, or just the front or like I did, place flowers just at the side. Now, cover the exposed floral wire using the floral tape. It is sticky so it will stick to itself. Make sure there is no wire sticking out!

That’s it! Not much to it, eh? I hope you all enjoyed and make some of your own flower crowns! Be sure to send me photos ;)

Did anyone else watch Kobe Bryant guest on Conan last night? Eee, I was so excited to sit down to watch it! I never know what to expect during his interviews. You think he’s a diva now? You should have seen him like five years ago! But it was a good and funny bit! Conan is from Boston so, of course, he brought up the Celtics win over the Lakers from the other night. Cringe.
Today is day three of the “snowpocalypse” that hit Oklahoma and it’s another day off from uni! All this time away and tucked inside has finally given me some time to get to little artsy projects. I wanted to try doing a doodle on an old tee, so here it is:

I think it came out somewhat decent for my first try! I think next time I may pick up a fabric marker with a finer tip so the lines don’t look as thick and smudgy. But how do you like it? I figured up some ways I could wear it…

So I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it before but I was interested in getting a second job as well as work at the office. The office closes at five each day and is only Monday through Friday. Working some nights and weekends seemed like a great idea for extra money. But then due to my class schedule and other unforeseen problems I no longer work at the office anymore. Bottom line: I’m jobless and sad. This afternoon I had a job interview at a local clothing shop. Jump for joy!
Also, remember that crazy weather I was talking about? Well here it is: no more seventy-something weather and instead a predicted overnight winter storm that has uni classes canceled tomorrow. That’s right, a snow day!
P.s, thank you to my dad for always keeping me posted with weather tips via texts!

My moleskine, my knit hats and belts collection
Very little posts this week! I haven’t being feeling hugely motivated to get ready these past few days or photogenic (eee pimples!). That and I’m very boring. I’d just be complaining about walking to uni in the snow and then finding out the class was canceled or how I’ve been doing so much note taking that my handwriting is beginning to look like scribbles.
I was meaning to drive up to the city this afternoon to meet up with my mom but given all the ice on the roads I think I may not?
In quick news, Chris had another doctor’s appointment a day or so ago. He went an hour and a half drive to the office and had to wait two hours to be seen because of overbooking! So outrageous, what’s the point in having an appointment? He is healing well though. He is still stuck in his sling and sleeping on the couch. I can’t say I mind too much, at night Bane and I have turned into complete bed hogs—sprawled all over the mattress with the covers all tangled!

So I have officially launched my new blog on blogger/blogspot! With the help (and financial support) of my dad I even have a spiffy “.com”! Well, rather a “.me” and a “.us” Either way, I am stoked for it. I’ll still be posting regularly to tumblr and keeping up with it!
But those of you who have this blog bookmarked please update with my new blog!
