Things are changing and typically I’m not good with change. But this time, let the pieces fall where they may. I’m ready for what’s next.
A lot of big stuff is happening right now, a lot. And I’m having a hard time keeping up/rolling with it/adjusting. There’s two weeks left until graduation: dead week and finals weeks. Here’s my week catch-up of my roller coaster emotions.
(stress): school, school, school and grades. two particular professors and their insanely bizarre way of grading final papers that are worth 30% of my grade. late nights turning into mornings in the library.
(anxious): where we are going to live after may 31st. change. money.
(excitement): having the whole summer to spend with melissa & my nieces (they live in germany and the last time I was with them was 3 years ago for Christmas), graduation, a vegas trip planned on a whim with my sisters + their husband + chris, secret #1, secret #2, secret #3. free time.
(guilt): not being able to put 100% time and effort into my work tasks, taking my parents for granted, being indecisive. not being able to spend more time with/give more attention to my friends, only being available for bits and pieces.
(disappointment): in myself, secret #4.
(curiosity): with weddings and my graduation all being so close together and so soon, is it cool that I just wear the same dress (in the nude color) to all of them? either way, it’s happening.

Eight more weeks until graduation. Eight weeks.
It feels like a waiting game. It’s hard to see past May. I’m waiting for May so I can start planning and figuring out what’s next. A job, health insurance, a place to live. I’m waiting for validation for my college career.
Earlier this week, I couldn’t help but stop and think about college as a whole. How much I’ve changed over the years, the people that have come and gone—the ones that where suppose to last but didn’t, the people that stayed the same, the people that have moved on with their lives,—and of course, the new ones that have just nestled their place into my life. I can’t help but miss some bits and pieces of it. It’s scary to sit here and not know what’s coming, but it’s exciting to be trying on my graduation cap & gown and twirling the tassle.
Eight weeks and there’ll be no more waiting. Just boxes and a diploma.

Being indecisive with my photo format today and trying something different. Probably won’t stick with it but I like it for this post.
I can’t think of what to write. But here are two things that come to mind from this week.
1. Day three into new semester and so far it’s been a mess. Rearranging and dropping classes, buying and returning books (spent $500 on books this time), and too many appointments with my adviser.
2. Today was a blustery, very cold day. On my walk home from campus I was forced to get sprayed by not one but two sprinklers in order to reach the crosswalk. Wet face. Wet hair. Wet jacket. As you can imagine it was an awful walk the rest of the way.
FINALS ARE OVER! NO MORE STUDYING! NO MORE WRITING!…until next semester. And no work ‘til Monday. Free time? Hmm. Sounds nice.
today = making Christmas presents, watching the first Sherlock Holmes, snacking like crazy, going to see the new Sherlock Holmes with friends, and playing Just Dance on the Wii.
Here’s a peek of one of my five projects (+an exam) I had due for finals. This project was for my fiction writing class and we had to write a story and turn it into the professor in an audio format (cd, mp3, etc.) T and I had a lot of fun (even though we didn’t finish until 3a this morning) playing around with the music and adding in sounds/noises. Then we ran with the idea of making them look like legit audio cds by making our own covers and putting them in real cd cases. Haha, my case was taken from an old Papa Roach album.

Meaning I’m going to be knees deep in finishing up three manuscripts (and recording one of them), a long paper, studying, and studying to get ready for finals.
